Your Wedding Vows
I encourage you to write your own vows and to incorporate into your ceremony any poetry, bible verse or just words of wisdom which have special meaning to you or which fit the way you feel about marriage, one another and your life together. There are many good books and information in book stores, in libraries and online which will help you put together a very personal and wonderful ceremony. See my Ceremony page for ideas. You will find scattered throughout the website verse and scripture which is very appropriate for weddings.
"Love is Patient and Kind; Love is not jealous or boastful; It is not arrogant or rude. Love does not insist on it's own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrong, but rejoices in the light. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never ends."
1 Corinthians 13:4
My beloved husband and I are delighted to share our vows with you as an example.
I take you as my (husband/wife). - I pledge to share my life openly with you,--- to speak the truth to you in love; ---I promise to honor and tenderly care for you,-- To speak the truth to you in love - to cherish and encourage your own fulfillment as an individual ---through all the changes of our lives.
